Domaine Huet's Le Haut-Lieu is one of Vouvray's greatest vineyard sites, and the 2022 vintage captures both the warmth of the year and the parcel's signature mineral tension. Nose
Ripe quince and honeyed apple lead, followed by a waxy, lanolin quality and white flower aromatics. There is a chalky mineral character and a hint of fresh mint.
Palate
The entry is richly textured for a dry Chenin, with apple and pear fruit balanced by a taut, mineral acidity. Honeycomb sweetness appears mid-palate but is checked by a stony dryness. The wine has an almost oily weight that gives it presence.
Finish
Long and mineral, with honey and citrus reverberating through a clean, flinty close.
