Neisson's extended-age expressions are among the finest aged spirits produced anywhere in the world. Eighteen years in tropical conditions condenses flavor with an intensity that temperate-aged spirits struggle to match. This is a meditation rum — gravity incarnate.
Nose
Intense dried fruit and leather open immediately, followed by rich toffee and a muscovado sugar depth. The agricole grassiness has transformed into something more complex — tobacco leaf, roasted cacao, and a distant orange peel. Extraordinary aromatic density.
Palate
Full-bodied with remarkable concentration. Coffee and chocolate dominate the entry, transitioning into dried tropical fruits and oak-driven vanilla. The cane character is still unmistakably present, giving structure beneath the aged richness. Spice builds through the mid-palate with cinnamon and clove warmth.
Finish
Exceptionally long. Tobacco, leather, and toffee linger for minutes, with a final whisper of orange citrus and oak.

Food Pairing

The Vernant-Neisson family has operated their small distillery at the foot of Mont Pelée in Le Carbet since 1932, pressing their own estate-grown sugarcane and distilling in a single copper Savalle column still.
