Cuvée Laurence represents a step above the estate's basic Gewürztraminer, sourced from richer parcels and given extended lees contact. The 2022 vintage delivers the variety's exuberant aromatics with the precision and balance that are Weinbach's hallmark — opulent but never heavy, thanks to the limestone soils of Kaysersberg.
Nose
Intense lychee and rose petal open, followed by candied ginger, Turkish delight, and honeycomb. An undercurrent of citrus zest and green tea keeps the aromatics from becoming cloying.
Palate
Rich and textured, with exotic spice, ripe stone fruit, and a floral sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity. Mango and melon intertwine with a faint marzipan note, while a stony minerality provides a firm spine.
Finish
Persistent and spicy, with lingering rose, ginger, and a clean citrus lift.
