Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Ardbeg · Ardbeg Distillery
Named after the notorious whirlpool off Islay's coast, Corryvreckan is Ardbeg at its most ferocious. The marriage of heavily peated spirit with French oak new casks creates a depth that rewards patience — add a few drops of water and watch it unfurl.
Nose
An explosive peat blast gives way to dark chocolate, espresso, and tarry rope. Beneath the smoke, baked plums and blackcurrant emerge alongside clove and black pepper.
Palate
Full-bodied and intensely peaty, with waves of dark chocolate, smoked meat, and dried fruit. The French oak influence adds a creamy vanilla layer that tempers the phenolic onslaught. Spice builds through clove and warming pepper.
Finish
Extraordinarily long, with peat smoke, cocoa, and dried fruit lingering well past the last sip.

Food Pairing
The cocoa and peat of Corryvreckan mirror the dark chocolate, while smoked sea salt amplifies the whisky's briny, maritime character without overwhelming its fruit.
Ardbeg Distillery, rescued from silence in 1997 by Glenmorangie, has since become Islay's cult favorite, and Corryvreckan — named for the treacherous Gulf of Corryvreckan whirlpool — represents the distillery's most powerful permanent expression.

Ardbeg Uigeadail
Ardbeg
Uigeadail is one of the great arguments for marrying peated malt with sherry casks. The interplay between smoke and fruit is endlessly rewarding, and the cask strength bottling lets the drinker find their own balance with water. An essential Islay experience.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie
Ardbeg
Wee Beastie is Ardbeg's deliberate argument that age statements don't tell the whole story. At five years old, it trades refinement for raw, feral energy — and that's entirely the point. It's an essential bottle for peat lovers who want the distillery's DNA in its most unrestrained form, and it punches well above its price.

Port Askaig 17yr Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Port Askaig
Port Askaig 17 Year Old is a masterful study in restraint—Islay smoke tempered by nearly two decades of patient maturation into something luminous and gentle. It captures that golden-hour quality of harvest light: warm, honeyed, and quietly radiant. A sophisticated dram that rewards contemplation and pairs beautifully with the season's theme of abundance gently preserved.

Balblair 25 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Balblair
Twenty-five years have given this Balblair a depth that few Highland malts achieve. The distillery's signature tropical fruit character remains intact, now deepened and enriched by patient maturation. This is a whisky that rewards stillness — each sip reveals new detail without ever shouting.

Ardnamurchan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Ardnamurchan
Ardnamurchan's core expression is a triumph of place — a whisky born from one of Scotland's most remote mainland distilleries, where renewable energy powers every drop. It bridges the gap between Highland elegance and coastal character with uncommon grace, offering remarkable complexity for its price. This is morning distilled: fresh, luminous, and full of quiet promise.

Glencadam 21 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Glencadam
Glencadam is often called the distillery with the purest water source in Scotland, and this 21-year expression shows what that clarity means over two decades. Restrained, elegant, and never heavy-handed with oak. A masterclass in Highland refinement.
