La Dame Voyageuse is Mordorée's accessible entry into Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and it overdelivers. The Grenache-dominant blend captures the warmth and generosity of the southern Rhône while retaining enough structure and freshness to age gracefully for five to eight years. A wine that rewards both immediate pleasure and cellar patience.
Nose
Ripe dark cherry and wild blackberry dominate, with violet florals adding lift. Secondary aromas of cedar and dried herbs emerge with air, alongside a subtle gamey complexity that hints at the galets roulés beneath the vines.
Palate
Generous and structured. Berry fruit floods the palate — blackcurrant and cherry — supported by fine-grained tannins and a cedar-spiced framework. A mid-palate mint freshness provides welcome contrast to the richness, while a toasted oak influence adds depth without heaviness.
Finish
Long and persistent, with blackcurrant and violet fading into warm cedar and a touch of earthy minerality.
