Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes 2020
Domaine Alain Voge
Cornas remains one of the Northern Rhône's most undervalued appellations, and Voge's Vieilles Vignes bottling is among the finest examples. The 2020 vintage delivered exceptional ripeness without excess, and these old Syrah vines extract a depth and minerality that younger plantings simply cannot match. Cellar-worthy but approachable now with a decant.
Nose
Intense blackcurrant and crushed violet, with smoked meat and cracked black pepper in the background. A streak of graphite and fresh rosemary adds mineral tension.
Palate
Dense and structured, with concentrated dark berry fruit, cedar, and toasted oak providing the framework. The old-vine concentration delivers a chewy mid-palate of blackberry and iron-rich minerality, while fine-grained tannins carry the palate forward.
Finish
Very long, with cedar, violet, and a savory gamey quality that lingers.

Food Pairing
The slow-braised lamb's richness and collagen match the wine's tannic structure, while the briny olive tapenade picks up the savory, gamey notes and the wine's minerality.
Founded in 1958, Domaine Alain Voge is one of the historic estates of Cornas in the Northern Rhône, where Albéric Mazoyer now continues the legacy with some of the appellation's oldest Syrah vines on steep granite terraces.

Tornatore Etna Rosso 2022
Tornatore
A crystalline expression of Nerello Mascalese grown on Etna's ancient volcanic slopes, Tornatore's 2022 captures the purity and tension of altitude-farmed fruit with effortless grace. Its bright acidity, ethereal perfume, and lava-stone minerality make it a hauntingly elegant red that punches well above its modest price. A wine that feels like sunrise breaking over a smoldering caldera—delicate, luminous, alive.

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée 2021
Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair
This is Burgundy at its most transparent—a wine that channels the deep limestone memory of its terroir with breathtaking clarity. Comte Liger-Belair's meticulous organic viticulture and gentle winemaking allow the stony, iron-laced character of Vosne-Romanée to speak unobstructed. A profound expression of mineral persistence that rewards patience and contemplation.
