Yellowstone Limited Edition 2024 Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Yellowstone · Limestone Branch Distillery

101 proofNAS (blend of 7 and 15 year)Kentucky, USA
This limited edition blend leverages the contrast between younger high-rye punch and the deep, integrated wood character of its older components. The result is a bourbon that showcases char-level influence without becoming tannic. A compelling study in what extended barrel contact can achieve.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Deeply caramelized oak leads, followed by stewed dark cherry and a whiff of charred barrel stave. Brown spice and vanilla intertwine beneath a layer of toasted pecan.

Palate

Full-bodied and viscous, with butterscotch coating the tongue before giving way to dark cocoa and espresso-tinged oak. Rye spice provides a peppery backbone, while corn sweetness keeps the wood tannins in check.

Finish

Long and warming, with charred oak and leather fading into maple syrup sweetness. A final note of tobacco lingers.
