A chemical engineer by training and a distiller by lineage, he spent years at major producers before launching T1 to prove that craft tequila could be built on repeatable scientific rigor without surrendering the soul of artisanship. Each batch of T1 Añejo is a controlled experiment — same cooperage, same aging warehouse positions, same agave sourcing — yet González insists the final cut is made by nose and palate alone, never by a calendar date. The tension between his laboratory discipline and his sensory instinct is what gives T1 its distinctive character: an añejo that tastes both inevitable and surprising.
